It’s June! Time is flying! Can’t believe we’re halfway through the year already. It still feels like it was only Christmas 2016 a week ago. We’ve got six month left before we say goodbye to 2017! Time flies, doesn’t it? It doesn’t wait for no one and that leads to my question: Have you been making the most of your time? Did you set any goals at the start of the year? At the start of the year, I wrote my goals down on a piece of paper and stuck it on the wall in my room. It’s one of the first things I see when I wake up. This way I always remember what I need to be working on. Sticking your goals on the wall helps to visualise your potential achievements. Setting goals at the start of the year is like a rough plan of how you want your year…

Do you know someone who has ever postponed something that was planned without a valid reason? Of course, you do! You’re probably trying to think of a friend who has cancelled on you before but you’re looking too far away. I’m sure YOU have postponed something before simply because you can’t be bothered to do it. ‘I will do it tomorrow’ becomes your favourite phrase and a lot of times, tomorrow becomes next week or even next month! Don’t worry, you’re not the only person. I’ve been there too and can totally relate to you. Couple reasons why you procrastinate I have asked a few people why they procrastinate and I received very interesting reasons. People procrastinate because of: Laziness Being busy Being bored and staring into space Wanting to be a perfectionist and getting things right in one go Not paying much importance to things Point one was the most common response…

Do you ever find yourself saying things that you want to do but never end up doing? It’s like you have this great idea that you can’t wait to work on. You picture how things will play out and the great things you will gain from it and start telling everyone what you are “working on”. Let’s say you have a plan to host your own talk show. You start telling all your friends about your plan. Every time they ask you about your talk show, you say “I am working on it” knowing fully well that you have not done a THING towards making it happen. Who are you kidding? I mean, the people who check on you obviously care enough and want to see you win and do well but you can only deceive them for a while. They will catch on that you are just a Talker.…

Sudden bad news isn’t always the easiest to deal with. It’s hard to come to terms with things. Emotions start taking over. You’re upset, angry and in pain. Why me? Why us? If not you, who else? I might get some flack for saying this but the statement “Why me?” is a selfish statement to make. It’s not nice going through a bad situation, I get that, but to say “Why me?” Do other people like your friends deserve to go through the exact same thing you’re going through? It’s a bad situation for a reason so the answer is NO. Nobody would volunteer to go through something terrible because that could cause stress and add sadness in your life. Life is a bitch! You are bound to go through hard times. It’s all part of your journey. Everyone goes through a low period in life. You just have to rise above…

“Positive vibes only” or PVO for short, has become a very popular saying. Instagram has been flooded with posts spreading positive messages to keep people sane during the day. These posts keep me in check at times when I feel to have a go at someone for annoying me. I just remember to “Woosah” and, to speak and think positive.  The word negative is associated with anger, upset, evil and the list goes on. Those three words do not appeal to me and I sure don’t want to be described to be any of these things. But what happens when people around you are negative? How do you deal with the negativity around you? In this post, I will be sharing a few tips on how to handle the negativity that is around you. B*tch don’t kill my vibe! Have you ever had a conversation with someone and nothing good…
