This is a very quick update on my #60DaysUntilSunshine fitness journey. I will be very honest with you, the past two weeks have not been too great…

Week 5

I went on holiday for a festival in week 5 and you already know what that means… No gym and no healthy eating *hides face*. I tried my best by eating grilled food but that stopped after day 2 of my holiday. Junk food became my new best friend.

Going on holiday involves exploring a different culture by sightseeing and eating different types of food from the country you are visiting which was Greece, in my case. With that being said, I ate loads of Greek food which consists mainly of kebab meat with pitta bread #CarbOverload. I’m a sucker for bread so I had one too many slices #Guilty. I hardly drank any water either. Was drinking alcohol straight with no chaser and had more juices and cocktails than usual #SugarOverload. I don’t want to ramble too much about my holiday in this blog so look out for my upcoming Travel blog about my trip to Zante, Greece.
If I was to use one word to describe week 5, the word would be: shambolic.

Week 6

Week 6 was pretty much the same. Greece did not want me to leave empty handed so I left the country with a nasty cold! This is what happens when you don’t cover up at night time and still dress like the sun is out. Felt very unwell when I landed back in London so I listened to my body and did not go to the gym. My diet improved a bit when I got back from my holiday but once it hit the weekend, I found myself eating a tub of Cookie Dough Ben and Jerry’s ice cream *hides face again*.

Surprisingly, I have not gained any extra weight! Before I travelled to Greece, I jumped on the scale and found out that I weigh 90 kg. I’ve maintained the same weight after my holiday and still weigh 90 kg. At the start of my fitness journey, I weighed 91 kg so I guess I have made progress. Remember, progress is progress, no matter how small! But it’s the beginning of a new week and I’m back in the gym. I don’t want to say too much about this week so look out for my next update which is in 2 weeks’ time. I promise I will have better news for you guys!

Sugars and love,
