We did it! We’ve survived the first half of the year! I know some of you guys are thinking ‘We already crossed the border in June.’ Errm nar mate.. you didn’t. June is the sixth month in a year so you gotta get through June first in order for the half-year mark to count. Either way, we’re here now so that’s all that matters. Most of you set your goals for 2018 around last year’s New Year’s Eve. That was quite a while ago so I hope you still remember them. Did you write them down by any chance? If the answer is no, I would definitely recommend writing them down and sticking it somewhere visible so it constantly reminds you to keep working towards them. You can stick it on your wall or make your phone home screen a list of your goals… Just make sure you look at your…

Food For Thought… Have you ever gone through a period in life where everything seems to be falling into place? Picture this… You’ve got a good job, personal business is going well and your main squeeze isn’t given you an headache. Life can’t get any better than this right? To watch things fall into place is one of the best feelings ever! ‘Life is good’ becomes your favourite slogan. However, things can change for the worst in a blink of an eye. How do you deal with life when it takes a toll on itself? Do you just complain about your problems? That’s where the quote ‘When life gives you lemons, make lemonade’ comes into play. Everyone knows that life’s a bitch. It isn’t scared to hand you some lemons when things are going well for you. Beyoncé’s album Lemonade touched on this quote. Her album was about a bunch…

Food For Thought… The weekend is nearly here. So before you head off to the pub to get a couple of cans in with your mates, let me share a quote with you: ‘Birds of a feather flock together’. What kind of people are you surrounded by? Positive people or people who just like to gossip and celebrate someone’s downfall? Do you surround yourself around go-getters or talkers who NEVER action what they say they are going to do? Whatever energy you are surrounded by will rub off on you! I’m a living proof of this. My friends always used to talk about starting their own business or brand in the WhatsApp group chat. I wasn’t interested in the conversation so I muted the chat. But ever since I started engaging in the conversation, my attitude towards life has changed. Now I want to run my own business one day and be successful too! What about you? If…

Right now it’s lunch time. The weather is nice. The sun is glistening and the temperature is about 27 degrees Celsius. What a nice weather to go for a walk and enjoy the weather or meet up with a friend for a drink at the pub after work. But guess where I am.. I’m sitting at my desk instead of enjoying the lovely weather. And no, I am not catching up on Trash TV lol. You’re probably thinking “We’re in the UK and this weather doesn’t come by often. Why is she not making the most out of this weather?” Well, carry on reading  to find out why I’m stuck at my desk instead of enjoying this lovely weather. Something’s Gotta Give! We all have our lazy days. Days where you can’t be asked to do anything. There are times where I just want to jump in bed as soon as I…

It’s June! Time is flying! Can’t believe we’re halfway through the year already. It still feels like it was only Christmas 2016 a week ago. We’ve got six month left before we say goodbye to 2017! Time flies, doesn’t it? It doesn’t wait for no one and that leads to my question: Have you been making the most of your time? Did you set any goals at the start of the year? At the start of the year, I wrote my goals down on a piece of paper and stuck it on the wall in my room. It’s one of the first things I see when I wake up. This way I always remember what I need to be working on. Sticking your goals on the wall helps to visualise your potential achievements. Setting goals at the start of the year is like a rough plan of how you want your year…

Do you ever find yourself saying things that you want to do but never end up doing? It’s like you have this great idea that you can’t wait to work on. You picture how things will play out and the great things you will gain from it and start telling everyone what you are “working on”. Let’s say you have a plan to host your own talk show. You start telling all your friends about your plan. Every time they ask you about your talk show, you say “I am working on it” knowing fully well that you have not done a THING towards making it happen. Who are you kidding? I mean, the people who check on you obviously care enough and want to see you win and do well but you can only deceive them for a while. They will catch on that you are just a Talker.…

Sudden bad news isn’t always the easiest to deal with. It’s hard to come to terms with things. Emotions start taking over. You’re upset, angry and in pain. Why me? Why us? If not you, who else? I might get some flack for saying this but the statement “Why me?” is a selfish statement to make. It’s not nice going through a bad situation, I get that, but to say “Why me?” Do other people like your friends deserve to go through the exact same thing you’re going through? It’s a bad situation for a reason so the answer is NO. Nobody would volunteer to go through something terrible because that could cause stress and add sadness in your life. Life is a bitch! You are bound to go through hard times. It’s all part of your journey. Everyone goes through a low period in life. You just have to rise above…

“Positive vibes only” or PVO for short, has become a very popular saying. Instagram has been flooded with posts spreading positive messages to keep people sane during the day. These posts keep me in check at times when I feel to have a go at someone for annoying me. I just remember to “Woosah” and, to speak and think positive.  The word negative is associated with anger, upset, evil and the list goes on. Those three words do not appeal to me and I sure don’t want to be described to be any of these things. But what happens when people around you are negative? How do you deal with the negativity around you? In this post, I will be sharing a few tips on how to handle the negativity that is around you. B*tch don’t kill my vibe! Have you ever had a conversation with someone and nothing good…
