So it’s officially Summer! It’s time to get your sunglasses, shorts and skirts out. Summer officially starts today and that means that my #60DaysUntilSunshine fitness journey has come to an end. The big question is “Has CynTea made any progress in the last 60 days or not?” The answer is yes! I actually lost some weight even though that wasn’t my aim. Started the journey weighing 91 kg and now I weigh 89 kg. My aim was to reduce my body fat percentage by burning fat around my torso and build muscle in my legs. Even though I’ve made some progress, there’s still a lot of work to be done. Week 7 & 8 My last two weeks of the fitness journey were much better than week 5 and 6. I’m back in the gym like I never left! So glad I’ve got my energy back; I’ve been squatting, deadlifting, doing HIIT cardio exercises and upper…

It’s June! Time is flying! Can’t believe we’re halfway through the year already. It still feels like it was only Christmas 2016 a week ago. We’ve got six month left before we say goodbye to 2017! Time flies, doesn’t it? It doesn’t wait for no one and that leads to my question: Have you been making the most of your time? Did you set any goals at the start of the year? At the start of the year, I wrote my goals down on a piece of paper and stuck it on the wall in my room. It’s one of the first things I see when I wake up. This way I always remember what I need to be working on. Sticking your goals on the wall helps to visualise your potential achievements. Setting goals at the start of the year is like a rough plan of how you want your year…

This is a very quick update on my #60DaysUntilSunshine fitness journey. I will be very honest with you, the past two weeks have not been too great… Week 5 I went on holiday for a festival in week 5 and you already know what that means… No gym and no healthy eating *hides face*. I tried my best by eating grilled food but that stopped after day 2 of my holiday. Junk food became my new best friend. Going on holiday involves exploring a different culture by sightseeing and eating different types of food from the country you are visiting which was Greece, in my case. With that being said, I ate loads of Greek food which consists mainly of kebab meat with pitta bread #CarbOverload. I’m a sucker for bread so I had one too many slices #Guilty. I hardly drank any water either. Was drinking alcohol straight with no chaser and had more juices and…

So it’s been four weeks since my fitness journey started and it’s been a bumpy road so far. I had some good days but I would be lying to you if I didn’t say I had some very bad days. Week 3 This week started off good. Went to the gym twice this week to do my usual weight lifting and cardio session. Of course, I ate my healthy meals too. However on Wednesday, I started feeling sick. At that moment, my diet went downhill again. Thought I would feel better the next day but felt even worse so wasn’t able to go to the gym three times this week. Listen to your body If this was a year ago, I would have pushed myself to go to the gym even when I’m ill. Missing a workout session felt like setting myself back. I remember the day I felt like crap but still forced myself to go to…

It’s been 2 weeks since I started taking my fitness and diet more seriously and surprisingly I haven’t suffered from a lot of withdrawal symptoms lol. I’m a bit shocked as I underestimated myself a bit. The Binge Eating Period I have a confession to make… About four weeks ago so roughly two weeks before I started my #60DaysUntilSunshine fitness journey, I was already working on taking my fitness more serious. It was a complete disaster as things would go well at the beginning of the week but eventually ended up relapsing in the weekend. When Friday comes about, it was as if my mind would tell my stomach that it was okay to have a couple of drinks and to treat myself to some cake and of course some junk food as well. “Why not, you deserve it!” is what I was telling myself knowing fully well that I shouldn’t be drinking nor eating…
